Why our team is different
Most salons hire stylists and hope for the best. We don't.
Some of our colorists train with us from day one through our in-house education program, which takes them from color science through corrective color, and all the way into the Psychology and Art of Consultation.
Experienced colorists join us through a formal interview process to make sure they align with our standards, culture, and values. If they need training, we build a structured program around exactly what they need. It's all led by founder and Master Colorist Tina, an Aveda Hair Color Harmony Artist of the Year recipient with 25+ years behind the chair.
What that means for you: whoever you sit with, you get the same standard. Precise formulas. Honest consultations. Color that grows out beautifully.
And yes, we cut too. Color is our specialty, but a great haircut is part of every great color result.
Meet Tina, Founder and Master Colorist
Tina began her career by completing an intensive education program. From there, she spent 12 years as an Aveda hair color educator. She later pursued advanced training in London and New York, refining both her eye and her technique.
Along the way, Tina helped train some of Austin's top colorists and helped build many careers behind the chair. In New York, she worked Fashion Week multiple times and colored hair for many celebrity clients. With more than 25 years behind the chair, she returned home to Austin to open Ārdeō Color Studio in the heart of Mueller.
The name reflects her devotion to the craft. Ārdeō is Latin for "to burn, to blaze, to glow, to be deeply in love," and it captures exactly how Tina feels about color. An Aveda Hair Color Harmony Artist of the Year recipient, she personally leads the team's education.
At the center of it all is one philosophy: mastery. It shapes every formula, every consultation, and every guest who sits in an Ārdeō chair.

Meet Lauren, Senior Color Specialist
Lauren has been doing hair at Ārdeō for almost four years. She fell in love with hair color the first time she had her own hair colored and got so many compliments.
She loves all kinds of color, but highlights are her favorite. Not every blonde needs lightener, so she uses high-lift color to brighten your hair while protecting its integrity. Go brighter in summer, a little deeper in fall, and bright again next season.

Meet Devin, Junior Color Specialist
Devin has been doing hair since 2023 and recently stepped into color after training in our education program, which she calls "nothing like I've experienced before."
What she loves most about color is the creativity. Every guest is different, and she loves finding a color made just for you.
"Everyone's so different, so it's that special uniqueness that I like to share and show people."
Devin is perfect for guests who want a low-maintenance, lived-in blonde or bronde.

Meet Sarahi, Ārdeō Protégé
Sarahi is at the start of her journey in our colorist education program. She emailed salons all over Austin looking for real education. When she sat down with our full curriculum, one big binder covering the entire program, she was sold.
